Events

The events listed below have been and gone. We will try to give a brief report on each event with regards to how much was raised and hopefully with some pictures. Keep popping back to see what has been happening.

March

Saturday 15th: Fund Raising disco. Our very first fund raising disco was held at Cowplain Social Club. We had a disco buffet and a huge raffle. Everybody had a great time as can be seen from these pictures

1st prize was a luxury weekend for two to London including transport and was won by Kev and Sue Stokes.

Saturday 29th: Fundraiser gig at The Spotted Cow pub in Cowplain. If you don't know where it is then click here. Two tremendously talented bands, Scrabble and Silver Machine, will be there banging out some top tunes. Fullers, the brewery, have been very supportive and have donated auction/raffle prizes. So, get yourself along for what is guaranteed to be a great night out.

The fundraiser gig was a tremendous success with a magnificent £757.46 being raised on the night with the help of a raffle. A big thankyou to all those who generously donated prizes for this raffle. The prize list can be seen here.

April

June

Friday 27th 7:00pm for 7:30pm start: Special Clairvoyant evening at The Civic Offices, Civic Centre Road, Havant.

All proceeds to Hannahs Appeal.

July

Saturday 26th early morning start: Sixty odd mile bike ride from Waterlooville to St Leonards, New Forest.

The intrepid group of cyclists started from Nightjar Close, Waterlooville and headed out towards Hambledon and then over to Droxford.

From there they headed over to Winchester via some very quiet country roads (with the odd pub). From Winchester they cut across to Romsey before entering the New Forest and cycling around the northern parts of the forest towards Fordingbridge, finishing up in St Leonard's. The weather for the bike ride was very hot so well done for completing the ride, they even had a Red Arrows flyover. The Tour de France doesn't even get that. Pictures of the day can be seen here.

Well done to all those that took part...here's to the 2009 bike ride.

August

Family Fun Day, Sunday 17th 11:30am - 6:00pm Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Coney Acres BBQ field:

Where was the summer? Another good event, even if the summer weather didn't appear, at least it didn't rain. There was plenty to do including penalty shoot out, face painting, tug of ar, therapy and psychic readings, lucky dip, name the teddy, cake stall, sweet stalls, guess the sweets in the jar,  tombolas and much much more.

Pictures of the BBQ can be seen here.

All proceeds to Hannahs Holiday Home Appeal.

Friday 29th Charity Ghost Hunt: This was held at New Place in Wickham. It was a grade 1 listed mansion house set in 32 acres of spooky forest. The perfect setting for a Scooby Doo movie.

The ghost hunters were given a brief tour of the house (4 rooms were visited) and a psychic accompanied them and told them what she could feel/experience in each room.

The intrepid ghost hunters were split into 4 teams and each team went off to their respective room, for about an hour, to carry out various investigations using the equipment provided.

The all night ghost investigations were great fun for those that believed and those that didn't. Pictures can be seen here.

September

27th September: A brilliant night was had by all at the Spotted Cow, Cowplain. The entertainment was provided by Scrabble and over £500 was raised towards Hannahsappeal. Well done everyone. Some photos from the night can be seen here

October

November

Sam and Daisy: The girls raised a fantastic £70 by marching around the New Forest in a cow costume, they took some stick and also fell over in the mud. It was all in a good cause so thanks again girls.
