Golf Day - Thursday 10th March 2011.
The day started chilli but dry as the players started to arrive at Rowlands Castle Golf Course. A welcoming yummy hot bacon butty roll and a cup of tea or coffee to fill them up ready for a great game ahead.
The last four ball tee'd off at 11.30 and the 9th hole served up a very welcoming Port and Brandy to warm the players up before they continued their game. By 12.30 the first players were starting to return back to hand in their score card and take a hot shower.
By 4.30 the final four ball arrived back following a quick change out of their golfing gear into smart suit and ties for the rest of the evening began. A delicious pork joint with roast potatoes and veg with lashings of gravy, followed by a fruit pie with custard.
The auction and raffle then took place and a fun game of heads and tails with everyone standing on chairs and having a great laugh.
Trophies were presented and the whole fantastic day raised a staggering £1802
A huge thank you to Pete Spratt for organising the whole event and to Paul, Suzie, Rosie, Pam, Kev and Colin for all their help too.
The amount raised will sponsor 7 families to enjoy a well deserved break away this year.
