Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal
AGM 14th March 2010
Treasurer’s Report
Firstly I would like to report on a healthy reserve balance as at 28 February 2010 of £20,202.31. This reserve is being built up so that we can eventually replace Hannah’s current Holiday Home with a new one.
The life span of the units is between 11 and 15 years, subject to condition so we have to assume 11 years is the worst case scenario
I would like to thank all our sponsors and donators for making our first 2 years such a success. We have already managed to repay the original loan we took to purchase the holiday Home and now need to continue to raise a minimum of £13,500 per annum to cover running costs and building our reserves.
Worthy of special mentions are:
Sophie’s Appeal – they sponsor 12 families a year to stay with us generating an income of £3000
The Piam Brown Ward, where Hannah was treated donated “10,000 to help with the initial purchase of the Holiday Home
H & S Aviation who have donated over £6000 to help with running costs
Youngstars Drama Group who form their annual pantomime have donated over £6000
Pet and Gordon’s Cycle rides have raised around £4000
Leigh Park summer darts competition raised £2500
Priory bowls who have donated around £2400 from their annual Bowls completion
Echoes Care have raised around £2300 from various events
WKB Toyota staff and managers have donated over £2200 from various events
The Spotted Cow & Silver Machine raised around £1500 from 2 band nights
Pam & Colin’s wedding present donations raised £1300
Moss Europe Ltd donated £1000
Sadly we can’t list everyone as it is a very long list but please accept our thanks for your donations too
Towards the Balcony
Barclays Bank awarded us £2500 towards the cost of our new balcony
Openwork’s donated £3500
Piam Brown donated £4500
The list is endless off generous donators and we wish to convey our utmost gratitude for everyone’s kindness and generosity
Finally a huge thank you to everyone who attended our family discos 2 years ago and our last 2 Christmas Balls. Between them these 4 events raised around £25,000 and are what we rely on each year to go towards raising our minimum running costs.
I’m now going to hand over to Darron Strange, our independent auditor to report on his findings when he prepared our annual Report and Accounts for the Charities Commission
